• The trustees meet as a Board on a regular basis and have organized standing committees that also meet on a regular basis.
• Trustees set the school board’s overall policy direction and the board’s budget
• They represent the interests of the community, parents and students in their area
• They must consult with their community on the board’s multi-year plan
• They must bring concerns from their community to the school board as a whole
